Brain Games

Catherine AdamsDog Training

My favorite exercise for dogs is engaging them mentally.

In addition to exercise and spending some time together outside, the ‘find it’ game  engages Sadie Mae in a deeper way on our walks.   I use a treat or ball or a stick as the object(s) to search and find.

I also use brain stimulating games in the house.  These are especially helpful in the winter months when dogs spend more time inside than out.

This video is the latest brain game toy we made for Sadie Mae.

You can change the size if you wish and don’t make the holes too big that kibble or treats spill out more than one at a time. Any number of holes will do.  Its an inexpensive custom toy that can be managed and cleaned easily.  For those feeding raw, like myself, you can use hard treats.

Engage your dog to work without you and keep them mentally fit.
