Reactive Dog Class

Reactive class IS back in 2022!!   This class is open to past, current or new clients.

Positive Transformation Class is a program designed to teach you how to bring some calm to your life with your lunging, barking dog and calm to the dog that barks and lunges at other dogs.  A peaceful walk is possible!

This class will help you'll gain more confidence to work with your dog and walk your dog. Regardless of the emotion behind the behaviour, there is allot you can do to prevent unwanted behaviour from occurring and to help your dog achieve some calm outside, in the presence of dogs or people.

*Classes are kept small so you receive plenty of hands on, 1-1 instruction.  This program is supported with video training (which everyone in the household can watch) & a FaceBook classroom that will provide you with support throughout the 6 week program.  Support that will advance your training between classes and achieve your training goals!

More knowledge & training opens more opportunities for you and your dog.  $735. (Includes pre class, online consultation, necessary for all new clients.)

For dogs that, when on leash:

• Lung and bark at people or dogs or other objects in the environment
• Pull heavily towards other dogs or people
• Excitedly jump and/or bark at the site of dogs or people

You'll learn......

• Why the behaviour is happening
• What triggers your dog to perform the behaviour
• How to prevent over arousal in your dog
• How and when to advocate for yourself and your dog
• How to survive outside on the street using Street Survival Skills 
• Teach your dog new skills they can use instead of lunging
• The art of desensitization to other dogs
• How to read your dog's body language and see those subtle signals BEFORE the lunging and barking begin that tell you your dog is uncomfortable
• How to use positive reinforcement to train your dog
• And more.................

You're dog will learn:

• New ways to behave and cope
• Orientate to you in the presence of their triggers
• To work in the presence of another dog
• Walk by another dog (at their prefered distance) without lunging or barking
